      Stop Draining Your Swimming Pools

As fall is just around the corner, it means football is in the air and cooler temperatures are on their way. It also means swim season will be winding down, especially after Labor Day! This is also the most common time pool professionals will recommend changing out the water in your swimming pool if your Calcium Hardness, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), or Cyanuric Acid levels are high. But at Pure Water Industries, we ask that if it is time to change out the water in your swimming pool that you recycle it instead of draining it and we hope this blog post helps explain why.

In the San Diego area, our tap water is loaded with calcium, magnesium, and other hardness minerals. This calcium, over time, will gradually increase in concentration as water evaporates. As the calcium content increases, it will begin to scale the water tile line, the interior finish of the swimming pool, and your swimming pool filtration equipment. If you have water features and spillways it can be an eyesore to look at. It can even cause an increase in chlorine usage, which makes swimming in these pools a lot less fun especially if you are sensitive to chlorine. When the water gets to this point, most pool professionals will recommend a water change in your swimming pool. As a swimming pool owner, you can either drain it and refill it with our hard tap water or you can call us to recycle the water using our Reverse Osmosis (RO) mobile filtration instead. We use The Puripool Process and this service comes to you. This is a great service for both residential and commercial customers because it lowers the following issues:

      • Calcium Hardness (CH)
      • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
      • Cyanuric Acid (CYA)
      • Phosphates
      • Salts
      • Waterborne Diseases
      • So much more

The Puripool Process conserves up to 85% of the existing water in the swimming pool, the process is completely self-contained, our end product gives you a much better end result because you can actually drink the filtered water, and you can swim in the pool while the filtration is being performed. This service will give you the best quality of water in your pool (better than tap) and since the interior finish of the swimming pool is never exposed, there’s absolutely no risk of cracking the foundation of the swimming pool.

Pure Water Industries is committed to offering you the best quality of service in everything we do.
