Puripool For Pool Water
How often should I recycle my swimming pool water? When should I do your filtration again? When is the best time to have you come back? How often can this service be performed? By far, these are some of the most popular questions asked when we come out to recycle swimming pool water! Even though we have been doing this for more than 10 years, it isn’t always the easiest question to answer because there are so many different factors that go into this answer but we want to discuss with you the different timeframes because ultimately this is one way of protecting your swimming pool.
When it comes to The Puripool Process, one of the biggest reasons why we are contacted is because residential and commercial swimming pool owners are having issues with any of the following:
- High Calcium Hardness
- High Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
- High Cyanuric Acid (CYA)
- High salts
- High Phosphates
- High Nitrates
- Presence of waterborne diseases
- Salt chlorinator malfunction
When any of the above occurs, most pool professionals will recommend a drain and refill. At Pure Water Industries, we don’t think this is the best solution. Draining a swimming pool wastes on average 20,000-gallons of water and when you have the option to conserve the existing water in the swimming pool why would you waste your time dumping it down the drain? Our mobile filtration trailer comes to your house or commercial pool and recycles the water onsite. Since we use Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration we are able to lower Calcium Hardness (CH), TDS, CYA, salt, phosphates, nitrates, waterborne diseases and so much more to levels far below what you would get with tap water. What you are left with is drinking quality water that is crystal clear and much more fun to swim in. After you swim in this water, trust us you will want us back but to answer the question we posed in this blog, let’s break it down further…..
The simple answer to how often you should change out the water is every two years but that isn’t always the case for everyone. We’ve found that two years is the time frame where Calcium Hardness levels start spiking, scaling occurs and you will notice a difference in the feel of the water. If you have a saltwater chlorinator you might need us out sooner than two years (potentially every year) because most saltwater chlorinators can’t handle high Calcium Hardness levels and when the calcium is too high they will shut down. For those that have decorative water features, this might be another reason why you might need us out sooner than every two years. To be honest, we have some customers that want us to purify their water every four months, every year, every two years and every three years. As you can tell it truly depends but on average you should definitely have the service performed every two years.
