The Puripool Process Makes Pool Water Great
In last week’s blog post we highlighted the importance of purifying commercial swimming pool water. One of the biggest reasons is because of the number of bathers and city ordinances on water chemistry and water quality. Due to the fact that you introduce body oils, suntan oils, urine, makeup, etc. it can drastically change the water quality making it extremely important to change out the water more frequently. Specifically, in the San Diego area, swimming pool water is heavily regulated for both Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and Cyanuric Acid (CYA). Typically, when TDS rises above 3,000 parts per million (ppm) and CYA over 100ppm commercial swimming pools could be shut down. That’s why Pure Water Industries came up with a much better solution to a drain and refill. We call it “The Puripool™ Process.”
“The Puripool™ Process” was invented in 2009 with the sole belief that draining a swimming pool must be a thing of the past. Water conservation, less chemical demand and a swimming pool that is cleaner, safer and healthier for you and your family; all the benefits of maintaining your investment with Pure Water Industries. The current drought conditions and emphasis on water conservation have served to solidify the need for systems that conserve large quantities of water, and “The Puripool™ Process” has been leading the way since 2009.
Why hassle with pumping the water from your pool, paying for the refill and then trying to figure out the complicated chemicals needed to re-balance your pool water, when Pure Water Industries can take care of it for you? In less than a day, Pure Water Industries can filter your water and lower Calcium Hardness (CH), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Cyanuric Acid (CYA), phosphates, salt, bacteria, viruses, etc. and provide you with a clean, fresh pool!
This past week we have been working with The Dan McKinney Family YMCA in La Jolla. We are currently processing their 160,000-gallon swimming pool because of high TDS and Salt. Since they inject liquid chlorine in the swimming pool this will cause both to rise. Please note that during this process they didn’t need to shut down the swimming pool and we are currently on a path to conserve approximately 85% of the existing water in the swimming pool.
Initial Chemistry
Calcium Hardness – 620ppm
TDS – 9,048ppm
Salt – 5832ppm
After filtering this swimming pool for 48 hours we were able to lower the above levels to the following:
After Two Days of Filtration Chemistry
Calcium Hardness – 260ppm
TDS – 5984ppm
Salt – 3876ppm
The YMCA chose to use our service because they knew they wouldn’t have to shut down the swimming pool and that we would give them a much better end product than tap water. We expect the filtration process to take 5-6 days and we will report back after the completion of the job.
If you should have any questions on how the service works, please let us know!
