Bruce Wettstein – President
Bruce has been in construction his entire adult life, building everything from houses to bridges, and has been building swimming pools since 1995. His Dad owned a bottled water company in San Diego when Bruce was growing up, so quality water is something he has been around for a very long time. The idea for a mobile Reverse Osmosis system became a reality in 2009 when he built the first trailer. As a pool builder and realizing the waste of draining and refilling pools, this concept made perfect sense to address old, tired swimming pool water, with minimal waste. Bruce still builds each trailer sold and is proud to have Service Providers operating them currently in 7 states.
Ken Scheer – Vice President
Ken began his career in the water industry back in 2005. He has been working with RO filtration since 2008. Ken works with all our vendors to stay on top of new developments and key performance indicators to make sure we are delivering a high-quality product to the end-user. He is well rehearsed in knowledge for not only swimming pools but also how to utilize these systems in the home or wherever RO quality water is needed.
He has a strong passion for water quality and working directly with customers to help them achieve the goal they are seeking. Ken has also been in the sales and marketing industry since 1999 and enjoys utilizing the Internet to spread information on water quality. He has the ability and passion to not only build websites but also bring those websites to the forefront of Google and other Search Engines. Ken and Bruce have been business partners at Pure Water Industries since 2011 and proudly service residential and commercial applications. Backstory
Pure Water Industries was formed in 2009 with the simple yet profound concept of recycling swimming pool water. The owners of the company – pool owners themselves – knew that pools require draining every two years due to the presence of high calcium, Total Dissolved Solids and other hardness minerals which cause challenges with water chemistry, water safety, and swimmer enjoyment.
One day, the owners happened to meet up and were discussing how wasteful it was to regularly drain their pools. They were sure that there had to be a better way and soon learned of a company in Arizona that was removing solids from swimming pools without draining the pools. They both agreed that they needed to look into this process, and hit the road to Arizona to learn more.
On that trip, they became convinced that recycling pool water was better than draining pools – better for the environment, better for pools and better for pool owners! “The Puripool™ Process” was designed with the help of our pool and reverse osmosis industry contacts; we built a very efficient mobile filtration trailer and have been using it on pools since 2009 with great success. “The Puripool™ Process” returns clean water to your pool that is as pure as if you filled it with bottled drinking water.
Since that initial trailer was constructed, our team has hired one of the country’s leading authorities in reverse osmosis technology to manufacture mobile filtration trailers with the most current and up to date products and technologies available.
Pure Water Industries has now designed and constructed numerous mobile filtration trailers utilizing Reverse Osmosis (RO) to lower Calcium Hardness (CH), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Cyanuric Acid (CYA), salt and other hardness minerals. “The Puripool™ Process” not only conserves nearly 85% of the water already in the swimming pool but also leaves our customers with cleaner water in their pool than a typical drain and refill would. To date, this process has allowed us to conserve more than 40 million gallons of water!
The success of “The Puripool™ Process” has allowed us to create a Service Provider Model to share our design and implementation of these mobile filtration trailers with other individuals and companies across the United States. Our original goal to solve a problem has been achieved with these mobile filtration trailers which can produce up to 40,000 gallons of drinking water in a 24-hour period.
