Keeping Swimming Pools Sanitary During COVID-19
I would first like to start by saying that I hope that you and your families and loved ones are all safe and healthy. This is a crazy time, and I hope that you are all doing well.
Here in California, we have been asked to stay home as a general population, although those of us in the swimming pool industry is considered “essential” and are able to work. This places a great responsibility on us, as always, to keep people’s pools safe for them and their families/guests. The CDC states that properly maintained pools and spas do not spread the virus (here is a link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/water.html). Reverse Osmosis will also help in keeping the bodies safe and we should be keeping this at the forefront of those who entrust us with the care of their pools.
While we cannot state that RO removes this virus, we can continue to promote safe and healthy water for everyone who enjoys swimming.
I just wanted to share this with you all. I personally will be practicing common sense, good hygiene and will stay away from panicking as we work through this time.
Stay safe and healthy!
