Recycling Pool Water in Yuma, Arizona

We are excited to announce our expansion into Yuma, Arizona. We recently partnered with No Drain Pools, located in Yuma, Arizona. They will be our latest company to become a Service Provider. When we started recycling swimming pool water in San Diego about eighteen years ago, we were excited to expand! As a company, we sat down and discussed what we felt would be a great model for others to use in their business. We settled on the Service Provider model because it is the easiest barrier to entry into starting your own business or adding to your existing business. Doing this has allowed us to build over 40 mobile filtration trailers for you, and it has also allowed you to operate this business as you choose. Since we launched the Service Provider model, we now have over 30 Service Providers all over California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

The mobile filtration trailers were constructed because they solve major issues that we are currently dealing with in the Southwest United States. They were designed to lower Calcium Hardness (CH), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Cyanuric Acid (CYA), phosphates, nitrates, and waterborne diseases in swimming pools, and they can also help with water conservation. The tap water is extremely hard in Texas, and over time, calcium, magnesium, and other hardness minerals gradually build up and start scaling the water tile line, the interior finish of the swimming pool, spillways, water features, salt chlorinators, and filtration equipment. This happens because, as water evaporates, the calcium remains in the solution and increases in concentration. Typically, most pool professionals will tell you to drain and refill. The challenge with this is that not only do you fill the swimming pool back up with hard water, but you also needlessly waste an average of 20,000 gallons of water. But, in Texas, they also deal with high levels of CYA because many swimming pools use chlorine tabs and rising TDS levels. That’s why we started manufacturing mobile filtration trailers that are equipped with Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration to lower CH, TDS, CYA, waterborne diseases, phosphates, salts, and so much more while conserving approximately 85% of the existing water in both residential and commercial swimming pools.

With that said, it is with great pleasure to announce that Curtis Priest of No Drain Pools. will be recycling residential and commercial swimming pools in Yuma! We are expecting to complete their trailer in the summer of 2026, and at that time, we will provide more information about No Drain Pools of Yuma!

      FAQ’s about Pool Water Recycling

How Does The Puripool Process Work?

Our mobile filtration trailer utilizes Reverse Osmosis (RO) to lower Calcium Hardness, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), salts, phosphates, Cyanuric Acid (CYA), waterborne diseases, and other contaminants from the swimming pool. The trailers are completely self-contained and run on their own power. Two hoses come from the trailer, and one is attached to a pump that takes water from your swimming pool into the mobile filtration trailer. The water is pre-treated before it contacts the RO membranes, and then pure water is returned to the swimming pool. Depending on the initial TDS reading, we can predict how long the process will take to lower the TDS and calcium levels to below what can be obtained from your city’s tap. There is no downtime during the process, and the interior finish of the swimming pool is never exposed.

How Long Will It Take Your Filtration System To Make My Pool Water Clean and Soft?

Currently, we are able to treat 30,000 – 40,000 gallons a day, to drinking water levels! Obviously, the size of your pool is the deciding factor on how long it will take, based on this level. However, most residential swimming pools will take between 12 and 16 hours to complete, and commercial pools take longer.

      Is This Process Safe?

Absolutely! In fact, you can actually swim in the pool during the filtration process! There are no power cords or electricity in or near your pool, nor are they lying around for someone to trip on. An inch and a half hose with a Virginia Graeme Baker Act (VGBA) compliant fitting is placed in one end of the pool to draw the water back to the trailer for treatment, and another inch and a half hose returns the clean (drinkable!) water to your pool. That’s it! We are 100% self-contained and do not need to inconvenience you for electricity, extension cords, or an outlet. All we need from you is a fresh water supply to replenish the small amount of water, approximately 15 – 20%, that is lost during the process. With that said, if you choose to swim, it is completely safe!

Is reverse osmosis better than draining a pool?

In many cases, yes. Reverse osmosis can save a significant amount of water compared to a full drain and refill, while also helping reduce the risks that can come with draining a pool. It restores the water already in your pool instead of forcing you to start over.
