If you live in the Southwest United States dealing with calcium in your fill water can literally destroy your swimming pool and equipment. Calcium is naked to the human eye when you look at the water but it rears its ugly head along the water tile line, on decorative fixtures, waterfall spillways and on your swimming pool equipment. Unfortunately, when building a swimming pool or buying a house that has a pool this is the one subject that isn’t talked about very much but it should be. If you live in an area where there are high levels of calcium in the water, unless you change out your water every two years you will begin to run into issues of controlling the chemistry in the pool or it will start plating in areas that suddenly turn your backyard paradise into a nightmare.

When this happens you might have to spend a lot of money on removing the calcium from the tile, spillways etc. but it is imperative that you change out the water as well. You can either drain and refill with moderately hard water from the tap or you can recycle your swimming pool water with our mobile filtration system “Puripool” Process. The benefits of recycling your swimming pool water are not only saving our precious water but also providing the lowest level of calcium in the water that is safe. Not to mention… if you recycle the water every two years it will make some of the above issues harder to achieve.

Recently we recycled a 20,000-gallon pool with the following results:

      Calcium – 525ppm

      Total Dissolved Solids – 3525ppm

      CYA – 65ppm

After recycling this swimming pool for 14 hours and saving 85% of the water we achieved the following results…..

      Calcium – 130ppm

Total Dissolved Solids – Less than 880ppm

      CYA – Less than 30ppm

So remember when it’s time to change the water in your swimming pool, don’t drain when you can Puripool!!
